Nikos Konstantinou(PhD) is an ICT teacher. He previously worked as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in the private sector concerning the design and installation of network systems.

As a teacher, he has implemented many projects with students such as environmental projects, art projects and e-twinning (the free platform for teachers to connect, develop collaborative projects and share ideas in Europe) projects .

He received his MSc in Virtual Communities from Panteion University, Greece on «Comparison and evaluation of the 3D Virtual Worlds as distance learning systems.

He received his PhD  in the fields of Virtual Worlds, Gamification and Game Based Learning.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University (https://avarts.ionio.gr/). He has taught electronic prototyping platforms for Installation Art, web technologies and creative technologies in education

His research interests vary from educational technology, game based learning and gamification to virtual Communities and their application to education. He has published some articles in international journals and conferences concerning  the use of 3D virtual learning environments in the learning process, serious games as an educational tool, teaching programming through digital games etc.
